Heir Conditioning

Grand dad did you breathe
before air cons were invented
was it hard staying
alive without modern inventions?
Grandma weren’t you flustered
as you fluttered with paper fans?
Could you communicate before
faxes and long distance calls
became basic necessities?

Grandchild we lived
before your age. Because
of our ignorance,
we did not know
pollution, stress, traffic jams
destruction of forests, streams and
hills
we feared God and nature
now nature fears you and
money is your new God.

Stanza 1
The poet is asking his grandfather on how he lived during that time where there are no technologies. He is asking what is it like to have no air cons and have to use manual fans, when there are no telephones or cell phones to make distant calls. Last time people were doing fine by just using faxes for long distant communication.

Stanza 2
The poet grandfather is answering back all the poet’s questions. They have lived before the technologies were invented, because of that, they did not pollute our nature like today. They lived the life that is according to the religion and appreciate the nature. Nowadays, we destroy the nature and money is everything to the new generation.
